The Deddington Festival Writing Competition celebrates the creativity and imagination of young writers in our local community. Here, you’ll find all the details you need of how to enter the 2018 competition.
Deddington Festival invites school age children and young people in the Oxfordshire area to submit a story or poem to the annual writing competition based on the theme ‘DISGUISE’. Perhaps it will be about camouflaged animals, a magical disguise or what it might feel like to be a spy. Whatever comes to mind – quirky, thoughtful or daring, we look forward to reading your thoughts. Uncover your talent and set your imagination free!.
Judged by a prestigious panel of professional writers, this is a chance to create a special story or poem, receive feedback from published authors and win prizes. All shortlisted entries are published in a special book to celebrate the best work submitted to the writing competition.
Thank you to Oxford University Press, Waterstones and Jaffe & Neale, our sponsor for the 2018 competition prizes.
